Let's Talk Memory- University of Toronto, Scarborough
If I asked you what you had eaten on May 15th last year would you remember? What if I asked you what sound does a cat make? Seems easier right, but why? Memory is one of the most complex phenomena that is studied in the scientific field right now and it sure does not only involve the hippocampus, as you might have thought. Though complex, memory is prone to much error which can manifest as false memories. So I ask you, are you sure you know what sound the cat makes?

So, come dive deep into your memories as we navigate through the systems that help you remember, the important research and techniques used to study memories, why it is so easy to forget, and what exactly is amnesia and the efforts to treat it. We will be joined by many experts in the field who will hopefully make a lasting impression. Don’t forget, join us on May 15th and Let’s Talk Memory.
